Take a Walk on the Wild Side!

Tour rural west Ottawa to learn about wild edibles, fermentation, viticulture, honey, and organic farming!  Reconnect with the wild ways we source some of our favourite foods right here in the nation’s capital with visits to food/farm businesses with Savour Ottawa tastes along the way. 

 

WHEN: Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 5:30 pm

WHERE: A coach bus will pick up, and drop off, participants at a central Kanata location accessible by car, bike, and bus.

COST: $55 (plus HST) 

Tickets for Walk on the Wild Side are $55 (plus HST), which includes round-trip transportation from Ottawa’s west end and edible treats along the way.

This event is brought to you by Savour Ottawa, a partnership of Ottawa Tourism, the City of Ottawa, and Just Food.

 

Food/Drink:

All food and drinks provided will be labelled with all ingredients, so guests may make choices around food preference, sensitivities, and allergies. Please bring your own water bottle.

There will also be wine served at one location during the event; while the tasting of wine will be only for those of legal drinking age, all ages are encouraged to participate in the rest of the tour activities. 

 

Rain Day

This event will continue rain or shine! Many of the places we are going to are outdoor venues, but all have shelter. We suggest you check the forecast ahead of time, and dress appropriately for the weather and walking on a farm.
